Stock lives per location
Each batch belongs to a warehouse, so you can see what is in the shop, what is in the godown, and what the business holds in total, without keeping a separate sheet.
Transfers move atomically
Moving stock between locations decrements the source and increments the destination in a single database transaction. A failure part-way through cannot leave units missing from both ends, which is the usual way stock records drift.
A record of every movement
Each transfer is recorded with a reference number, the item, the quantity and a reason, visible from both warehouses with the direction shown from wherever you are standing.
Batches, expiry and serials
Batch numbers, manufacture and expiry dates and IMEI or serial numbers travel with the goods, so you can answer which batch went where when it matters.
