GSTR-1: what it is and what has to reconcile
GSTR-1 reports what you sold. Your customers’ input credit depends on it, which is why the detail matters.
What it contains
Your outward supplies for the period: invoice-level detail for business-to-business supplies, summarised detail for smaller business-to-consumer sales, along with credit and debit notes and any amendments to earlier periods.
Why accuracy is not optional
What you file flows into your customers’ input credit. An invoice reported with the wrong supply type or against the wrong GSTIN becomes their problem as well as yours, and gets raised as a mismatch weeks later.
Cancelled invoices
A cancelled invoice is not a supply and must not appear as one. Systems that simply mark a record inactive while still counting it in totals are a common source of overstated liability.
What billkraft gives you
Outward supplies for any period with the place of supply, supply type, taxable value, invoice value and CGST, SGST or IGST split per invoice, excluding cancelled ones, exportable to CSV for whoever files.
